对口腔颅颌面部良性（如颌骨囊肿，鳃裂囊肿，腮腺混合瘤，成釉细胞瘤等）和恶性肿瘤（舌癌，牙龈癌，颊癌，腭癌，舌根癌等口腔口咽癌和颌面颌骨肉瘤）分子水平基础研究，良恶性肿瘤手术治疗，软硬组织缺损修复以及中晚期口腔癌化学治疗、基因靶向治疗和免疫治疗等综合治疗；口腔颌面部脉管疾病—血管瘤，淋巴管瘤，脉管畸形的基础研究。治疗包括手术、超选择性栓塞、放射、硬化、核素和冷冻等综合治疗；口腔颌面部外伤骨折救治；口腔颌面部感染的治疗；口腔颌面部先天（唇腭裂和颌骨畸形）后天畸形（外伤疤痕和缺损）整复；颌骨前突或后缩畸形整复和口腔颅颌面痛症和神经精神疾病的诊断和治疗等有较深造诣。
